Privacy Policy
How Walo Live collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated 14 August 2026
This policy explains what Walo Live (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Walo Live app and this website, why we collect it, and what control you have. Walo Live is operated by Nexrox Digital.
Information you give us
- Account details — name or nickname, date of birth, gender, phone number and/or email address, password, and your profile photo and bio.
- Sign-in identifiers — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider.
- Verification data — for hosts and for payouts, an identity document and a face scan used to confirm the document belongs to you.
- Content you create — messages, moments, photos, comments, and audio and video you transmit while live.
- Payment information — records of coin purchases, gifts, diamond exchanges and withdrawal details. Card and wallet details are handled by the payment provider or app store, not stored by us.
- Support correspondence — what you send us when you contact support or make a report.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app data — device model, operating system version, app version, language, and a device identifier used for security and ban enforcement.
- Usage data — rooms joined, time spent live, features used, crash reports and diagnostic logs.
- Network data — IP address, and approximate location derived from it (country/region level).
- Push tokens — so we can deliver notifications and calls.
We request camera, microphone, photo library and notification permissions. These are used only for the features that need them, and you can withdraw them in your device settings at any time.
Why we use it
- To create and operate your account, and to deliver live rooms, chat and calls.
- To process purchases, gifts, host earnings and withdrawals.
- To keep the platform safe — detecting fraud, gift manipulation, duplicate accounts, ban evasion, and content that breaks the Community Guidelines.
- To verify age and identity where required.
- To provide support and respond to reports.
- To improve the app, fix bugs and measure performance.
- To send service messages, and marketing messages where you have opted in.
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
What other people can see
Your nickname, profile photo, user ID, level, badges and moments are visible to other users. Anything you say or show in a live room is visible to everyone in that room. Private messages are visible to the recipient, and may be reviewed by moderators if reported.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with:
- Infrastructure and media providers — hosting, storage, content delivery, and the real-time audio/video services that carry live streams and calls.
- Push and analytics providers — to deliver notifications and understand crashes and usage.
- Payment providers and app stores — to take payments and process refunds.
- Identity verification providers — to check documents and face scans.
- Agencies — if you join an agency as a host, that agency sees your host performance figures.
- Authorities — where required by law, or to address an imminent risk to someone's safety.
International transfers
Our providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where we transfer data internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards with those providers.
How long we keep it
- Account data is kept while your account is active.
- After deletion, account data is removed within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer.
- Transaction and tax records are kept for the period required by law, typically several years.
- Records relating to bans, fraud and safety enforcement are kept longer so that suspended users cannot simply re-register.
- Live audio and video is not recorded by default.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. Passwords are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep it private.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. To make a request, email privacy@walolive.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, or via the account deletion page.
Children
Walo Live is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we suspend it and delete the associated data. If you believe a child is using the app, contact safety@walolive.com.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
